
Transitions Digital Graphics introduces The Transitions Effect™ Display System, a patented edge lit technology which uses invisible ink to achieve bright multi-layer full color images. This is a new low cost means to inject motion into advertising in place of conventional light boxes.
This technology enables edge lit displays to be printed using proprietary inks which are mostly invisible under normal light. When subjected to ultraviolet light, these inks become visible. This allows stacking of multiple images, then selectively turning them on and off to produce eye catching effects.

Low Cost: The Transitions Effect™ Display System has many competitive advantages. Compared to other motion signs, and to LCD/Plasma displays, our system is substantially lower in cost.
Fully Programmable Transition Effect™: Control electronics are fully programmable offering customized profiles for individual panel rise, fall, and on times (duration). Unlike other motion signs (where the images scroll or rotate only in a regular one directional manner), our system provides a more flexible range of motion. Our system can be programmed to run from slow, relaxing, gentle motion to rapid hip-hop action. One can therefore establish a speed of motion fitting for the product and location.
Three Dimensional Effects: This technology allows displays to be curved or formed; yet perform just the same as a flat display. For example, one can curve a 3 panel lighted display around a column (such as in an airport), or one can form a multi-layer display in the shape of a consumer product (a bottle for instance).
Conventional Printing Processes: Printing relies entirely upon a conventional screen printing process. We use an ultraviolet curable ink formulation that behaves exactly like the best screen inks on the market.
Reliability: Unlike other motion signs (scrolling or rotating triangle signs), our system has no moving parts. Traditional motion signs that employ motors and rotating parts are notorious for breaking or smearing grease onto graphics. Our light bulb and electronic components are mature technologies with well characterized performance and reliability.
Increased Advertising Content: Up to three display images can be placed in the same space where traditional advertising has supported only a single image.
Interactive: Systems can incorporate sound sensors, motion sensors, or button control to create an interactive POP display.
Brightness: Our system provides a bright display, even in well lit indoor locations.
Color Spectrum: Our color spectrum provides true photorealistic imagery.
Transparent Panel: Due to largely invisible inks (85%+ transparency per panel) and clear acrylic panels, when our bulbs are turned off, one can partially see through the display to the merchandise in a store. This is unlike any other display system.
Artwork Preparation: Producing display artwork requires no investment in equipment or software.
Low Power Consumption: Our system requires very little power to operate (~ 24Watts/linear foot of display).
Modularity: Our modular system can grow in shape and size, yet utilize the same fundamental components. Additionally, multiple displays can be deployed in a matrix to form larger, more dynamic assembly.
Dual Sided Viewing: Images without text can be viewed from either side. This eliminates need for two separate displays to face both directions.
